Devotions Available

The new STL theme for the 2010-2011 year is “Compelled by Love.” Love was the reason God sent Jesus. Compelled by love for His Father, love for His mission, and love for us, Jesus lived a sinless life and died a sacrificial death. Because He loved us, we love Him, and are committed to caring about what He cares about. The message of 2 Corinthians 5:14 resonates in our hearts, “Christ’s love compels us.” We are compelled by love to reach those in need.

“Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of the national youth ministries of the Assemblies of God (AG) designed to help students discover, develop and deploy their ministry gifts.”

None of this is possible without first pushing into God, and for that reason I’m providing you Daily Devotions! (Please click the link to download the files)

Fine Arts Time

Wow!  Can you believe its that time again?

I’m excited about everything Gods going to do in our lives over these next couple of months.

Theres been some changes! I know that most people aren’t too thrilled about changes!  But I’m so happy that the parents, students, and leaders at Crellin Connexion recognize that change is the way God takes us from where we are, to where He wants us to be!

With that in mind let me introduce you to some of the biggest changes.

$30.00 COMMITMENT/REGISTRATION FEE: This is to ensure that you and your child have counted the cost and commitment that going to Fine Arts requires! This will be required before the student can participate in practices.

ATTENDANCE POLICY: Students will only be allowed to miss TWO Fine Arts practices.  Our leaders make a commitment to you and we expect you to make a commitment to us, (and obviously God)! Skit practices begin January 3rd and will continue every Monday thereafter from 6:30-8:00pm.

WEEKLY DEVOTIONS: (click here for access) Luke 2:52 tells us that Jesus grew in wisdom, stature and favor with men and God.  We are to be like Jesus.  We cant reach perfection but we can perfect progress!  Devotions will encourage our students to become more passionate about  God. Students can come up with their own devotional plan or use the one that I will be providing.  Devotions will be checked for completion.

Our Human Video leader this year is Alayna Grove; and our Skit Team Leader is Jennifer Alexander they can be reached at their homes. Please see the church directory for #’s.  Or contact me: 240-321-5844; haiku11000@yahoo.com
